Message from Managing Director
Most people go to business school for two reasons: to learn more about the mechanics of business administration and to prepare themselves for better careers. Consequently, international study trips should be a crucial part of any MBA experience, opening the participants’ eyes to global business and helping them reflect on their own career planning in today’s flat world. Is there a better place to do this than China?
China’s growth in the past 20 years has stunned the world, defying many “impossibles” among the developing world while, at the same time, raising concerns from more developed economies. China is often portrayed as the savior of global business and as the enemy of business-as-usual. One can love or hate China – but certainly not ignore her!
Through carefully designed company visits, candid discussion sessions, and interactive networking sessions with the local business community, our trips will show you the “the good, the bad, and the ugly” in China. Our goal is to equip you with a basic tool-kit for doing business in China and to help you better understand how China may fit into your own career future.
As an EMBA myself from University of Houston, I know very well how much students and school administrators invest – both personally and professionally – into these study trips. We are thrilled to offer you a unique experience that will challenge you to think more globally and realize that sky is the limit for all your passions and ambitions!
I am looking forward to seeing you in China!
