>> What content should we expect in your study tours? [back to top]
We typically start working with you 4 to 5 months before your tour. We help you to design the trip, arrange business visits, networking events, cultural excursions, travel logistics and finally, detail how we plan to help insure the execution of your tour.

>> Do we contract with ChinaSense, or do we need to make separate contracts with hotels and airlines? [back to top]
ChinaSense is your general contractor that takes care of all travel logistics and business visits. ChinaSense customarily contracts everything for you, including hotels and airlines.

>> Do you only make trip arrangements for my school? Or, do we join a pre-designed tour? [back to top]
ChinaSense customizes business study tours for one school at a time. We will work with you individually to help you design a trip that best extends your curriculum.

>> Do you give references on your study tour service? [back to top]
Yes, references are available upon request. Please email these requests to contact@chinasense.cn

>> How far ahead should we work with you on our upcoming trip? [back to top]
We normally work with schools 4 to 5 months before their trip dates.

>> If we organize business visits ourselves, can ChinaSense just make travel arrangements? [back to top]
We are not simply a travel agency and, as such, do not handle travel arrangement alone. Our value-add is in the consulting that aligns the intent of your program with the best business visits, speakers and cultural education. Furthermore, our bi-cultural staff insures that nothing is "lost in translation".

>> How do you help us arrange business visits?[back to top]
We start with listening to you carefully. From experience, we find that most university programs are interested in certain types of companies in specific industries. With your trip objectives in mind, we will suggest a set of businesses for you to visit and work with you to narrow down that list. Then, at least one month prior to your trip, we work with businesses to prepare for your visit. We deliver the right people at the right time to speak about the right topics.

>> Do you help arrange general business visits, or do you focus on certain types of companies in particular industries? [back to top]
Both. ChinaSense has access to over a thousand businesses in more than 20 key cities in China. We use these relationships to design business visits that complement the intent of your program.

>> What is included in a typical business visit? [back to top]
We believe interaction is the key for students to maximize their understanding of a China experience. In each visit, we invite one or two senior managers to give talks or presentations, and afterwards, conduct at least 30 minutes of Q&A. Customarily, we also schedule hosted facility tours.

>> How much cultural content do you include in a trip? [back to top]
We can include as much cultural content as you want. However, we recommend cultural excursions, while important, play only a complimentary role to the planned business visits.

>> Can you arrange tours to sites of historic/cultural importance? [back to top]
Yes. We will make sure you understand their importance to the Chinese lore and mindset.

>> If we want to see other areas besides big sophisticated cities, can you help us? [back to top]
Yes. We believe its very worthwhile giving students a balanced look at China. However, logistics to less developed areas can be challenging, therefore requiring more advanced and careful planning than normal. We recommend you to engage us early (6 months ahead) if you plan to visit less developed areas.

>> What kind of visa should I get, and how do I get it? [back to top]
Please consult a conveniently located Chinese embassy in your country for visa application procedures. You will only need to obtain a tourist visa for normal study tours.

>> Should I get insurance? How much does it cost? [back to top]
We strongly recommend travel and emergency medical insurance. The cost for such insurance is generally very low ($1-$2 per day) but can be very handy in case of accidents. Since people generally get much better coverage by purchasing such insurance in their home country, ChinaSense does not buy insurance in China for visiting groups.

>> Do I need certain vaccine? [back to top]
Please consult with your physician about you need for immunizations. You can find general disease control and prevention information at http://www.cdc.gov/travel/eastasia.htm

>> Do you help make arrangements for spouses or significant others [back to top]
Yes. Your trip will be one of those "experiences of a lifetime" that we're proud to help you share with a spouse or significant other.

>> If some people decide to come earlier or stay later, can you help make arrangements?[back to top]
Yes. However, these extra stays sometimes may not enjoy the quite the level of the aggressive group rate discounts.
